Chapter-8 We will shine like the Sun in the heavenly life

Our soul should go to heaven

“For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life?” - Mathew 16:26; Luke 9:25.

We should reflect and meditate about heaven already when we live in this world. We think that we are going to live in this world forever. But gold, silver, the goods of the world and the world itself will pass away. But the Lord says that if our soul gets buried in the burning fire of hell, then whatever we acquired in this world goes as waste. So let us walk in the path of heavenly life.

Saint Francis Xavier had planned to earn name and fame and acquire the things of this world. But St. Ignatius repeated the above-mentioned words of our Lord Jesus to Francis Xavier. Saint Xavier listened to the word of God and his mind got transformed. He rejected the riches of the world. He arrived as a priest in Tamil Nadu, India. He baptized multitudes of people. He went about in streets ringing the hand bell. He taught catechism to people. He belonged to a high royal family. 500 years back he came to Tamil Nadu. After his death the body of Saint Francis Xavier is incorrupt for the past 500 years and it is kept in Goa. Saint Xavier is in the Basilica of Bom Jesu Church in Goa with his incorrupt body. From 1964 onwards I have visited the church several times and I live with his blessings. As a family we meet him and have received his blessings. St. Xavier shines in heaven like the sun. We too are going to meet him and talk to him. St Xavier appears in heaven as an angel.

Let us seek heavenly life in our life

Do not worry, saying, 'what will we eat?' or 'what will we drink?' or 'what will we wear?' For it is the Gentiles who strive for all these things; and indeed, your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. - Matthew 6:31 - 34; Luke 12:22 - 31

Let us first live on earth our heavenly eternal life, for this a holy life. God knows our needs like food, clothing and other necessities in this world. God will definitely fulfil our needs. Let us surrender to the Lord, in our faith in God with all our sorrows and anxieties. The Lord will grant us the Holy Spirit, love, peace and spiritual gifts and will lead us to heavenly life.

The rich man and Lazarus

“There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who longed to satisfy his hunger with what fell from the rich man's table; even the dogs would come and lick the sores. The poor man died and was carried away by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was being tormented, he looked up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side. He called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in agony in these flames.' But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your life time you received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in agony. Besides all this, between you and us a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who might want to pass from here to you cannot do so, and no one can cross from there to us.' He said, 'Then, Father, I beg you to send him to my father's house - for I have five brothers - that he may warn them, so that they will not also come into this place of torment.' Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the prophets; they should listen to them.' He said, 'No, father Abraham; but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'” - Luke 16:19-31

The conversation takes place between heaven and the great chasm. Jesus the Lord has preached the true event that takes place in the world. The Lord spells out the names of Lazar and Abraham. And from this we can ascertain that it is a true event. Abraham lived in this world 4000 years ago. Those who live in heaven and those who live in the burning hell discuss. And through this we are able to know the happiness in heaven and the agony in the burning hell. In order that we could attain heavenly life let us uphold the holy words of the Lord and live accordingly. The Holy Spirit will take hold of us and will guide us to heaven.

The Lord God Jesus preaches to people regarding the heavenly life and the ever-burning hell

If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life maimed than to have two hands and to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire.And if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off, it is better for you to enter life lame than to have two feet and to be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to stumble, tear it out ; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and to be thrown into hell, where their worm never dies, and the fire is never quenched. - Mark 9:43 - 48; Matthew 18:8- 9

Instructions that the Lord Jesus gives us

We could see the terrifying ocean of burning fire. The Lord says that it is better to cut off the hand or leg or pluck off the eye that causes us to sin than going to the ever-burning hell. Because we will attain the eternal life and be happy. The agony of the hell is permanent. The worm that eats them will never die. The fire never fades out. They will be eternally immersed in agony and they have to be there for ever. The loveless selfish life is the cause for human beings to fall in the hell. It is revealed in the major sins which are listed below:

1. Pride 2.Anger 3. Prostitution 4. Being stingy 5. Desire for food 6. Jealousy 7. Laziness
