Chapter-19 The nature and human death are in the hands of God
Man wants to rule over everything on the earth. But man in no way is able to control and take into custody the nature and human death. Wealthy people spend a lot of money to avoid death. They go to very modern, posh hospitals to get treated medically by highly qualified doctors. They die finally as the treatment has not much of effect. The highly qualified doctors too die. The death of humans and the functioning of the nature will be according to the will of God alone.
The death of humans and the existence of nature are under the governance of God. From the foundation of the world, it's functioning is according to the will and wish of God.
We shall submit ourselves to the will of God. Rain, cyclone, air, the sun rays, earthquake and such natural happenings are under the power and governance of God. Human death as well, is in the hands of the Lord. No human being can ever take full possession, governance and control of nature and human death.
The love of God and the love of the neighbour
A 100 years back, in Japan, all the senior, elderly persons were taken and left abandoned in the forests. Without food, in cyclone and rain they died. A man took his elderly mother to be left in a forest. This elderly mother went dropping leaves all through her way. The son asked his mother, why she had dropped leaves and herbs all through the way they were coming. The mother replied to the son that when he will be coming back all alone, he should know the correct way. That is why to guide him she put the leaves all along the path. The son was touched very much in his heart by the affection of his mother. He realized that it was against the will of God. So, without leaving his mother in the forest he took her back home. He realised the love of his mother. He went about announcing everywhere that elderly persons should not be abandoned in the forests. He added that it was againstGod's way and a sin against God. Let us be happy being filledwith the love, grace and blessings of God. Let us live doing good to everyone.
Man needs to repent for his sinfulness
In the year 1828, Lord William Pending was ruling in India. It was the time of British rule. The act of Sati (burning the wife in the funeral pyre of her husband), killing female children, human sacrifice (to gods) and such practices that are against God were there. In order to eradicate such cruel, sinful practices, Lord William Pending with the assistant of Rajaram Mohan Roy proposed certain rules and promulgated these rules, though opposition to this was there. We should avoid sin, live a holy life in order to attain eternal life. As far as possible we should help others to get rid of sinful practices and live a holy life. Those who live in a sinful way in this world, live in the way of satan. And satan has conspired to bury them in the burning fire of hell. Let us turn our minds towards our Lord and towards heaven and shall live. As a small seed sprouts and grows into a big tree, so our life too should be. The worldly anxieties and tears will vanish. The Lord calls us to live in heaven. Let us get the newness of life in love from Jesus and be happy. Let us pray to God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, to Mother Mary, Saint Joseph, Saints Peter and Paul, Saints Antony and Francis Xavier and all the Saints that they lead us to live in heaven.
The ocean of fire - the burning hell
The fire of hell is a place where God cannot be found, where in ever lit fire satan lives, where agony remains and the fire burns eternally. Those who die in mortal sin will go to the fire of hell. The punishment to the cursed is frightening. When we live in this world, we should face the agony of hell, get away from mortal sins and live a holy way of life. If we realise the evils of the fire of hell, then we will not sin; 'It is better to die than commit sin' was the principle of Saint Dominic Savio. We should live following his principle. If we die in mortal sins, we should boil in eternal fire together with innumerable satans. Without repenting we should not live in the sinful way. We should repent and come towards God and life in heaven. There are seven major sins which cause people to fall in hell. Pride, anger, adultery, selfishness, desire for food, jealousy, laziness lead to hell. And in hell worm never dies and the fire is never quenched. Mark 9:48.
